This flashy Morgan Dollar from the Carson City mintage of 1880 features a bright original mint luster that gives this silver piece a superb shine. The devices are sharp and well-struck and exhibit the fine detail worthy of a GEM-grade coin. The brilliant fields are clear and smooth with a soft velvety appearance. PCGS has awarded this Morgan a full GEM MS65 grade, and for good reason! While in 1880 the New Orleans, Philadelphia, and San Francisco mints produced a combined 26.8+ million Morgan Dollars, the Carson City mint produced a mere 591,000 coins.
