1880 Etiquette Decorum Fashion Antique Victorian book decor binding with gilt Decorum : A Practical Treatise on Etiquette and Dress of the Best American Society. Published in New York by Union Publishing, 1880. Sold only by subscription. Bound in the original cloth with gilt lettering and design, and a color illustration on the front cover. Covers every social situation that a Victorian man or woman might need to know about : entrance into society, introductions, salutations, visits, street etiquette, riding and driving, traveling, letter writing, courtship and marriage, domestic etiquette, Washington etiquette, funerals, and finally dress, toilette, etc. which includes recipes for removing freckles, wrinkles, curing chilblains, removing pimples, and more. The cloth binding has some discoloring... but the text pages are unaffected. Otherwise fair to good condition.
