This note is distinctively different from most Legal Tender Notes. It is the 1880 $2.00 LARGE BROWN SPIKED SEAL , a very scarce type! It features signatures of Bruce and Wyman for Treasury, and was issued during the 1880's---when two dollars was really a lot of money!! The Brown Spiked Seal is Large , on the right side and is striking. The serial numbers are in red . It features a wonderful vignette of " U.S. Capitol Building circa 1869 " at center, and a portrait of Thomas Jefferson at left. The back features fancy lathework engravings and a large "2" at center. It bears "SERIES OF 1880" at the left interior side! Serial # Z20407724. Treasury signatures of Bruce and Wyman . This is a very tough type note with the large brown spiked seal, and is rarely available for sale on eBay in any grade! A very nice grade note with bright bold colors and excellent paper quality. There are NO pinholes, tears, writing, stains, etc. A really attractive example of this scarce type with excellent margins and centering! See enlargeable photos.
