OUTSTANDING 1880'S FIGURAL WINGED GRIFFIN KEROSENE OIL BALL SHADE Wonderful circa 1880's figural winged griffin/dragon kerosene oil ball shade. Outstanding high end shade, standard 4" fitter, 7 1/2" tall. Acid frosted on the inside, gloss on the outside; deep etched and gold filled pattern of a winged griffin/dragon. The griffin appears on both the front and back of the shade, alternating with two deep etched gold filled cameos of a very fancy bow and quiver of arrows, draped with ribbons and floral swags. Very well done! Flawless condition with no chips cracks or breaks, the gold nearly 100% intact. Wonderful high end Victorian kerosene oil ball shade to complete and add value to your finest lamp.
