PRESENTING A CIRCA 1880s HEYWOOD WAKEFIELD TIGER STRIPE OAK ROCKING CHAIR. This Excellent original Heywood Brothers Wakefield Co. Parlor Rocker features wonderful Tiger Stripe Oak grain figuring throughout. Offered to you in excellent structural condition with tight joinery & sturdy construction. The finish is all Original, a dark golden oak that shows off the heavy Quartersawn Oak grain patterns beautifully. Thick Solid Oak serpentine arms & turned spindle posts with just the right amount of patina. Seat is contoured for comfort with a scrolled front & curvy oak frame. The rockers are in excellent condition also. Measures 26 inches wide, 31 inches deep (at rockers) & 35 inches high. Seat is approx. 17.5 inches wide, 19.5 inches deep.
