Vintage antique 1883 handcolored map. The map is titled, in fancy antique lettering , Map of Somerset Co, Maine, Published by Geo. N. Colby & Co. Houlton, Me. Very detailed and fascianting map of Somerset County. The map shows the period townships, towns, cities, villages, railroads and much more. Much has changed. The map is large, and has some clean seperation at left and right hand side, along the fold, this can be common in old antique maps. The map also has a few light stains lower left hand side, and some at outside edges. Overall map is in pretty nice shape, and would display nicely as well. Fascianting period map. This is an antique map and not a reprint or reproduction, I don't like or sell reproductions. The handcoloring on the map is period to the map, this is before color printing. The map is from the very rare 1883 Colby Atlas of Somerset County Maine . The map is a fascinating and historic period look at this area at this time.The photo wont show the full beauty of the map.
