Original, an 1884-1897 HANDWRITTEN JOURNAL of SALMON TRIPS to the Restigouche River Lodge MATAPEDIA QUEBEC. Also lot includes a letterhead with information, handwritten, trip year unknown. 13 years of salmon fishing at the Restigouche River Club. FLH, as he named himself, would travel from Boston to arrive at the Lodge. Each year is accounted for with fish caught, actual locations where the fish were caught, weight, etc. Locations such as Matapedia, Patapedia, Cross Point, Pine Island, Sharps, McDougalls Island, Indian House, etc. See photos. Approximately 38 pages, 3.25 x 5 inches. This journal was acquired in 1990. This fly fishing Atlantic Salmon Lodge is world renowned visited by famous people and fisherman, endorsed by Orvis. ***I also have a larger handwritten journal of the same club, see other sales.
