Up for auction are four issues of a scarce 1880s publication devoted to the raising of chickens and other fowl, entitled FANCIER�S GAZETTE . These are Volume II, Numbers 2, 3, 6 and 8, for April, May, August and October of 1884. Published out of Indianapolis, this poultry magazine contains fantastic ads and illustrations of fowl and related products. Nice copies, with slight flaws, including creasing, some dog-ears, small thumb-splits, and spotting, but none of the magazines have all these problems but rather one or two. All covers intact and firmly attached. Interiors clean. All still in GOOD MINUS to GOOD condition in original green/blue wraps featuring a hovering woman with a pen and paper, gazing dreamily at four different domestic chickens breeds surrounded by bolted circles.
