Make sure to check out all of my auctions after you look at this one. I'm listing another eclectic assortment of mechanical, technological and musical antiques, and I suspect there will be something of interest to just about everyone. Here's an early Dallmeyer No. 2 Rectilinear lens with its original mounting flange. Serial number dates it to about 1885 (using online Dallmeyer database). Lens elements are clear, with a small area of delamination on periphery of foremost lens element, adjacent to the hood. Aperture wheel turns easily. Brass lens barrel is tarnished, but is otherwise in good shape, and the lens threads easily into the flange. Some minor dings in the hood. Height is approximately 2". Base diameter is approximately 2 5/16". Flange diameter is approximately 3 5/16". Don't know the focal length, but it was removed from a 5 x 7 camera, and the image covered the entire glass focusing plate. Shipping weight approx. 2 lb.That's about it. I will pack it carefully and properly. Auction participants with no prior feedback history or with hidden feedback should contact me before placing a bid. Buyer prepays and includes shipping.
