1887-89 Indian Wars Officer's Kepi. The liner is quite worn but one can still make out "Ridabock & Co. Formerly Baker & McKenney." This cap has some insect damage as you can see in the photos. Tarred leather brim firmly attached. Staff side buttons with a black leather chinstrap and small brass buckle. Gold colored number 44 attached by prongs. A single quadrifoil on the top of the hat. The leather sweat band is torn and missing some smaller pieces. 19 1/2" inches around the inside of the cap. Displays very well. See my other current auctions for more antique uniforms and equipment.
