You are invited to bid for a shield back type half sovereign from the year 1890 with no imperfect J - this means the engravers initials J.E.B. look like I.E.B. so the J is missing its tail. This variety is SCARCE in Michael A. Marsh's book The Gold Half Sovereign. This coin was struck during the reign of Queen Victoria. The coin was struck from 22ct gold and weighs approx 4 grams. Very collectable and becoming rarer. Photograph is of the actual coin which you will receive. Please check out my other items !
