SCARCE 1888 OFFICIAL BILL OF SALE OF H.L. HART'S STEAMBOAT "MARION" TO THE OKLAWAHA NAVIGATION CO. 4 folio pgs part-printed document, approx. 8-1/2" x 14", headed: "THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. BILL OF SALE OF ENROLLED VESSEL", with black illustration of a Steamboat under both steam & sail, dated at Duval County, Fla., Dec. 6, 1888 . A scarce document, in which Hubbard L. Hart, who since the Civil War had operated a successful Steamboat line from Palatka to Silver Springs, Fla., sells the "Marion" to the Oklawaha Navigation Co., of which Hart was General Manager. This Line later became the "Hart Line". Interesting content, giving a full, detailed description of the "Marion", built in 1871. Signed by Hart & others. Partial fold splits, with partial archival tape repair. Fine. Look for the great stereoview photo of the "Marion", in my Ebay listings, closing the same day as this document. They would go great together!I accept Paypal or money order in payment.
