Description follows photos Description This is an oak Singer Style Box (I don't know what style number it is). It is Patented in 1889 and is from the late 19th or possilby early 20th centuries. These are also called "puzzle boxes" because they held so many attachements and unfolded accordian style from a regular looking box (this one has no attachments in it) . It is in good condition with the wood showing normal aging and wear but no spits, cracks or serious dings. The hinges remain tight and smooth and it snaps shut quite nicely. The interior felt is worn and discolored but still intact without any rips or tears. I'm not familiar enough with these boxes to know if all of the chromed attachment holders are in place but the only one that is held in place by small nails instead of the screws that hold the others, is missing one of the two nails. Closed it measures aprox. 3 3/8" x 3 3/8" x 6 1/2" and it weighs .8 lbs.
