This auction is for a VERY nice English oak barometer with a VERY HIGH grade movement,(large survey instrument grade, looks to me). Milk glass ornate dial. Large thick brass hanger. Bevelled glass lense, that is thick, as well as perfect. 4 1/2" dial, 8" o.a. diameter. On the dial is lettered"PROPERT OF THE FORECAST ADVERTISING CO." and their address at "142 Chamberwell New Road". I can't really make out the rest. Blued spring steel indicator hand. Hand inked dial. This instrument has been ultrasonically cleaned, then sparingly lubricated with moebious clock oil to provide many years of trouble free service in weather predicting aboard your vessel. Finally it has been precision calibrated in my IDEAL-AEROSMITH calibration chamber to provide complete accuracy.Check out the calibration report for assurance of accuracy.
