Nice 19th Century Travel Book For Japan with Lots of Illustrations!~~With Yokahama Bookseller's Ticket & Nice Bookplates of P. A. H. To See Our Public Facebook Photo Album of This Book With Over 20 Photos!Octavo. 661 pages, indexed. Hardcover bound in brown cloth with cover lettering in gilt. The binding shows rubbing and wear, and there is pale spotting (damp spots?) on the front and rear covers near the bottom. Bevelled edges to the binding. A sound copy with secure inner hinges. The text is toned but generally clean. There are a couple of nice bookplates on the front endpapers as well as a Japanese Bookseller's ticket. The bookseller's ticket reads, "Kelly & Walsh, L'd. / Booksellers / Yokahama." There is a bookplate on the front pastedown of sheep grazing. Beneath the image is printed "Ex Libris / P. A. H. Muschamp." The bookplate on the front flyleaf is very large and measures 5 1/8 inches tall by 4 1/2 inches wide. This bookplate is read more
