History of the Girtys Being a Concise Account of the Girty Brothers-Thomas, Simon, James and George, and of Their Half-Brother, John Turner-Also of the Part Taken by Them in Lord Dunsmore's War, in the Western Border War of the Revolution, and in the Indian War of 1790-1795. Drawn from Authentic Sources, Largely Original. The bookwas written by Consul Willshire Butterfield and published by Robert Clarke & Co., 1890 Cincinnati. The HB book has green covers with bright gilt titling on the spine, 426 pages, 6 1/2" x 9 1/4" in size, and is in very good condition, clean and tight. The front cover has a several tiny spots near the top edge, there is a bookplate from an old Historical Library pasted inside the front cover (no other xlib marks) and name/date of original owner written on title page. This is a nice copy of a very rare first edition.
