Sold rare gift cigarette case made of pure gold 56 samples. Tsarism. The Russian Empire. Was kept in the Soviet period in Latvia in one of the castles - museums. Rare, excellent condition. Made approximately 1890 - 1899 Size 94 x 80 x 15 mm, weight - 133,2 grams Gold, engraved, natural sapphire. On the front side of the invoice bookplate of a former owner. Inside is an inscription in three lines: /"In memory of A. Lutrih/" Stamps on covers: jacory, "MP"; the mark of the Odessa district assay control with a sample of metal (Kappa, female head in kokoshnik right 56) in the oval shield. This cigarette case according to the Museum records in 1900 was presented Lutrih Alexander Matveevich - senior engineer for a large St. Petersburg joint stock company /"Keller and K°" , which had a distillery on Lubyanka (now lake street), and 5 stores in St. Petersburg and shops in St. Petersburg and Tsarskoye Selo his friend Andrey Petrovich Shuvalov, the only son of Pyotr Andreyevich Shuvalov and Helena Chertkovo - Shuvalova.
