1890s Antique Vintage Figural Meerschaum Pipe PUG DOG. Pipe is 10.5" long (27cm). A very fine pipe carving of a pair of Pug dogs at play! The patina is a very nice honey tone with rose colored blooms. The pipe stem is made of turned EBONY and has a Buffalo horn mouthpiece. A great pipe that dates from the 1890s! A similar pipe is pictured on page 133 of Ben Rapaport's "Collecting Antique Meerschaum Pipes". The entire pipe is in EXCELLENT CONDITION and has NO chips, cracks, or repairs.
