You are bidding onA RARE U.S MILITARY TOKEN, BOOKS HIGH IN KISER BOOK & BELIEVE RARE SITE (FORT ABANDONED IN 1900) old U.S MILITARY TOKEN / EXONUMIAwhich says"GOOD FOR ONE QUART MILK" and used at the "U. S. VETERANS HOSPITAL", which was documented as being used in historic region of FORT BAYARD,NEW MEXICO TERRITORYTHIS IS A HISTORIC OLD FORT, AND FROM WHAT I COULD READ THIS FORT WAS ABANDONED IN 1900, SO THIS LIKELY USED IN THE 1890S ERA......AND THIS OLD MILITARY TOKEN WAS FOUND YEARS AGO BY METAL DETECTOR COLLECTOR NEAR THE TOWN OF SILVER CITY NM......ALSO NOTE THERE IS A COUNTERSTAMPED 140 ON THE REVERSE, AND TOKEN ALMOST LOOKS "BUTTON HOLED" (repurposed as a button possibly)THE HISTORIC SITE OF FORT BAYARD IS LOCATED IN GRANT COUNTY, NOT FAR FROM SANTA CLARA AND SILVER CITY NMYes, this token is in "dug" condition, but all there, with some pitting, but scarce to find.Military token is aluminum metal, round shaped, about 25mm in diameter ,and it is dug, has pitting, but is pretty muchreadable, displays ok.
