1890'S FOSTORIA 'BEADED ACANTHUS' RED SATIN KEROSENE OIL GWTW OR PARLOR LAMP Circa 1890's Fostoria Glass Co. red satin glass embossed patterned kerosene oil parlor lamp, the 'Beaded Acanthus'. Please reference Murray's "Fostoria Ohio Glass 2' and Gibson's '19th Century Patterned A]=rt Glass Chamber Lamps' for more information on this Victorian lighting company. Deep rich red satin finish glass, embossed patterned with acanthus leaves alternating with beaded lines. Brass fancy embossed foot, all brass fittings and font. Large impressive lamp at approximately 23" tall overall to the top of the shade. The lamp was wired at some point with a socket in the burner and a bulb in the base; nicely done.
