1891-CC $1 MS64 Deep Mirror Prooflike PCGS. The deeply mirrored fields establish substantial contrast on each side from a generous endowment of mint frost over the devices. That side is also essentially untoned with a brilliant-white sheen. The obverse, on the other hand, displays some golden patination. There are a few wispy abrasions, as well as a tiny spot on the forward part of Liberty's cheek. A shallow depression on Liberty's neck is a planchet depression (as struck). The 1891-CC is rare not only as a Gem, but also with a Deep Mirror Prooflike finish. Perhaps unsurprisingly, precious few examples with this finish are extant at or near the MS65 level.
