This is a combination brochure/timetable published by the Northern Pacific RR for Winter, 1891-1892 for the Yellowstone Park Route to Montana and the Pacific Coast. It has lovely engraved images of the pullman sleepers and dining car with passengers in period dress. The brochure extols the virtues of the Northern Pacific's equipment, summarizes the "Country It Traverses", gives rates, describes excursions to Yellowstone, Alaska and California and provides extensive timetables for the routes. It opens to a large map of the route and the country traversed. The brochure is approximately 4' x 8" opening to approximately 23" x 35". It has wear, some tearing, taping and discoloration at the folds, resulting in some holes when it is fully opened up, some of which is visible in the photos above.
