Substantial silver-gilt (unmarked) medal, Obverse National Rose Society shield bordered by roses and motto, signed Pinches London, reverse engraved Penge Rose Society Crystal Palace 1892 within rose wreath, in makers signed fitted case, excellent condition 42mm diameter, 40 grams.. This is one of a group of medals I shall be listing which were the property of Leslie Lewis Allen and formed the basis of his catalogue, The World's Show, Coincraft's catalogue of Crystal palace medals and Tokens 1851 - 1936. The majority will be accompanied by his original packet with his notation.
