1893 CHICAGO WORLD's FAIR - ETCHED RUBY GLASS VASE An interesting glass vase purchased as a souvenir of the 1893 Chicago World's Fair. The vase measures 3.6 inches high and has a top diameter of 2.9 inches. The top has a ruby red coating whilst the base is clear with a moulded pattern. One side of the ruby section is engraved with "World's Fair 1893" whilst the other has "To Jennie Aug 5th Chicago". CONDITION:- There are a number of small spots of surface colour loss to the ruby area. The base is a little rough from wear but more importantly has several chips to the outside of the base rim. Most are very small "nicks" but the two shown in picture 4 are the largest, the left hand one measures 0.4 inches whilst the one on the right is 0.6 inches wide.
