1893 Columbian Exposition - Santa Maria Globe Badge. Eglit-540. Bronze souvenir badge from the 1893 World's Fair Columbian Exposition. Columbus' Santa Maria ship with pin underneath which a globe is suspended from red, white, and blue ribbon. Back of the globe reads "Chicago, 1893, World's Columbian Exposition." Bright copper colors suggests it was cleaned. Exceptional piece. Ex. Governor Joseph Mackey Brown Collection; The Norman Thomas Collection of So-Called Dollars and Expositions.
