Superb, antique, (circa 1893) silverplate, Columbian Exposition (Worlds Fair) match safe/vesta. Front of match safe is highly embossed with scene of Administration building and the Art Palace. Both building have amazing amounts of details including a tiny waving flag on top of the dome on the administration building. Below the Administration Building is the dates: 1492 - 1893. Reverse of match safe is beautifully embossed and engraved with flowers, leaves and vines with a central cartouche for monogram. A beautiful match safe in EXCELLENT condition! A great gift idea for the match safe or the Columbia Exposition Worlds Fair collector! Guaranteed antique. Measuring approximately 2 3/4 inches in length by 1 1/2 inches in width.
