This is an original 1893 etching (individually hand-painted) of The new Chapel on the Island of Cyprus. The Island of Cyprus, also known as the Republic of Cyprus, is sited as being the third largest island on the Mediterranean Sea. It has been noted, through archeological discoveries, that proof of human existence dates back to approximately the 10th millennium BC. Light aging throughout. No creases. No water damage. This 7 x 5 inch etching is mounted on its original fiber board measuring approx. 10.5 x 8 inches (note: there is printing on the reverse of the mounting board). The etching is in spectacular condition and would look stunning framed. (Please note that any aging in the outer margins is more pronounced in the digital image than on the actual item.
