You are bidding on a most attractive 11 X 7-5/8 inch ADAM SCHAAF "MANUFACTURER'S CERTIFICATE OF WARRANTY" with official World's Columbian Exposition Corporation Award Seal in red. Certificate was issued "CHICAGO, Sept. 4th, 1899" and that "This is to certify that Piano Forte No. 8854 bearing our name was manufactured by us, and is fully warranted for the term of ten years from date". The Adam Schaaf Piano Company was established in Chicago, Illinois, in 1873. The company was awarded a medal and diploma at the Columbian Exposition in 1893. Beautfully engraved certificate with ornately scrolled border, vignettes of Office, Salesrooms and Factory and signed by Adam Schaaf. (The back of this certificate is blank). A scan is shown of the back of a trade card issued by Adam Schaaf to advertise his pianos and highlight his exhibit and awards received from the Columbian Exposition Committee in 1893.
