Up For Auction - No Reserve! An Original Art Nouveau Fine 999 Silver Overlay American Perfume Bottle The Fine Silver Overlay was Hand Made By Renowned Silversmiths Alvin Corporation of Providence, Rhode Island, U.S.A. circa 1895-1910. Fine Silver is Defined as 999 Parts per 1000 i.e Pure Silver where as Sterling is 925 Parts per 1000. The Style,Decoration and Engraving are Stunning. The Shape of the Bottle is Unusual, having a Base composed of 8 Bulbs. Both Bottle and Stopper have "130" etched on them, they are matching. The Condition of the Silver on the bottle is Good but there a couple of small areas where its missing, you have to look hard to spot them. The Condition of the Glass Bottle is Superb with No Cracks or Chips. There are white resides inside the bottle that give it a cloudy appearance. The Condition of the Stopper is Good but there is a small section of Overlay missing. There is also a surface crack running the length of the base, this doesnt effect its function and not visible when inserted in the bottle.
