Nice looking & clean, original condition late 19th century Victorian era children’s book that features the Brownie cartoon characters in action. This volume is entitled, “The Brownies Through the Union”, written & illustrated by Palmer Cox & published in 1895 by the Century Co. Hard covered with black & white cartoon illustrations throughout, follows the Brownies antics as they travel around the United States. 144 pages, complete & intact with supple pages, cover & spine are tight & attached & have some corner wear & loss of paper on spine. Hand written Christmas notation on inside, book is 10” x 8 ½”, looks & displays well & is guaranteed old & authentic.
