The present edition is a translation by Raphael Ledos de Beaufort, edited and annotated by the Dec Albert de Broglie of the Academie.(1821-1901), with an introduction by Whitelaw Ried (1837-1912) who served as American Ambassador in Paris in the late 1889-1892. Well illustrated with engraved portraits of important persons mentioned by Talleyrand. Text is clean.
