This is a nice, original lithograph from Les Affiches Illustrées, Bal du Moulin Rouge, created by the artist Jules Chéret. Published in Paris by Boudet & Tallandier, Les Affiches was created in Paris between 1886 and 1896 by Imprimerie Chaix. The series features a limited edition of 1025, each containing an 84 multi-color lithograph plates of works by famous artists like Cheret, Grasset, Mucha, Lautrec, Steinlen and many others. Lithographs from this series are some of the best posters of the Belle Epoque.Measures approx 8 3/4" x 12 1/4"Very little wear at corners, colors vibrant and sharp, in impressive condition. This a genuine vintage lithograph, over 100 years old, it is not a reproduction, has original onion paper protecting plate.Please review photos and Email me with any question.
