Album with 34 photographs from 1897-1902 from Bolivia and Peru in South America; Brooklyn and Buffalo, New York; Denver CO; Toronto, Canada; Philadelphia, PA; the Erie Canal; and Kansas City, MO. Normally, I wouldn't even mention photos from Niagara Falls, but a few of these are unusually interesting enough to warrant it. One shows the Maid of the Mist on stilts in what looks like an old boat junkyard, and the other is a fascinating look at old factories and the Niagara River, below the falls T are 2 busy photos of a Lumber Fire on a pier in East Buffalo, New York, with many people on bicycles. Other photos include those from Ontario beach, one with kids swimming off the pier and another of the Ferris Wheel; a shot of the Exposition Building in Toronto; a cool picture of the Customs station on the Canadian side looking toward New York; A photo of President McKinley in a parade in Philadelphia, dated 1897, and two early pics of the Erie Canal. Another photo is entitled "Palca Bolivia, 15,800 feet, 17 leagues from La Paz," dated 1898, with native South Americans and some vistors, all on horseback (id'd only by last name). This was during the Spanish-American War so this might have had something to do with that.
