~Hello & Thank You For Viewing~ Details: Offered for sale is the exact shown original first edition copy of the 1898 book "History of Orphan Brigade". The attached 9 photos of with this listing are of the exact book being sold. The original owner had to have a new binding placed on this book as shown, as the original leather binding had began to fall apart and was causing the over 12oo pages of this book to become loose and hard to turn and keep together. This book is extremely large as shown, weighing close to 6 lbs and is aprox 7 inches thick! This is an extremely rare copy formerly owned by a local historian and principal in the early 1900's. This book has been kept in the family, and the new binding was placed on the book by the nephew of the original owner. Family is now wanting to sell the book, as no one in the family wishes to hold on to it.
