Here's a nice souvenir stamped brass badge commemorating heroes of the Spanish-American War - Rear Admirals Dewey, Sampson, and Schley, plus General Shafter. Their portraits are uncaptioned, but easily recognizable--especially to the public of that time. Likely from one of the several Homecoming celebrations held in the fall of 1899. Measures about 1 3/4" long.CONDITION is Very Good. Structurally Fine. Mild oxidation on both side, but the fields are still lustrous.
