Truth Magazine June 15, 189n 8 Spanish-American War Truth Magazine. Printed during the conflict between the Spain and the United States. 23 pages. Fantastic graphics of Navy men on cover. Cover art work done by G. Stoopendgal. Amazing articles about the war including pictures of Camp Tampa not to mention the turn of the century product ads! Lots of great history. Magazine is nice and clean. Front and back cover are detached and a few of the last pages are dog earred in the upper left corner. Also some minor edgewear to back cover. Does not take away from any of the articles or pictures. RARE!! Original Poster Included!! Bombardment of Matanzas (Cuba). Mantanzas became the location of the first action in the Spanish-American War. The city was bombarded by American Navy vessels, just after the beginning of the war. Sketched from the "Herald" Tug and art work done by Reuterdahl of Key West. He was an American painter acclaimed for his nautical work who later on served in the reserves under Teddy Roosevelt. Poster measures 11 15/16" x 25 7/8". Super clean and also in great condition for it being over 110 years old. Very minor edgewear if any and one tiny tear at the first fold. An amazing addition to your collection! A super rare find in this condition. You usually don't find the poster and the magazine together. Great for the history
