This is a September 30 1899 issue of Leslie's magazine that is marked, "Dewey Number" and is mostly devoted to US Navy admiral George Dewey.Contents include many related Admiral Dewey articles, stories, photos, and illustrations, with many nice 1899 ads (see photo examples).Admiral Dewey is noted for his Naval battle victory at Manila Bay in the Spanish-American war.The magazine notes there is a supplement included of a color portrait of the Admiral, but that supplement is missing.It will be sleeved in plastic and shipped in a crush proof box for protection.
