1899 GUIDE This is an original (not reproduction) 1899 North British Railway, West Highland Railway, Miller's Official Tourist Guide Illustrated, Glasgow, John Miller. The piece measures 5 1/4" wide x 7 1/4" tall and contains 304+ pages. The tourist guide is loaded with interesting advertisements! Included in the guild are fold-out maps with the railway in darker print, tours in Scotland with golf courses, fishing streams and lochs, and bathing resorts, list of tours and what was included, plus descriptions of the tours with specific descriptions of the surroundings (houses, buildings, etc) which were located along the way. This guide is wonderful for the ads alone! The piece has discoloration due to age, a few page/cover corners have been folded, spots/stains on the cover, tear of front cover and split of spine edge. I find no missing pages and no large rips/tears within. The piece shows some dirt/smudges and is held together by staples. The second page is pulled from the staples but still attached to the book (see photograph). Super railroad/tourist guild! PLEASE READ PAYPAL ONLY - NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!!!!!
