. OBJECT: pendant COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: Most probably Belgium PERIOD : 1880 MATERIAL : silver (the pendant) and 18K yellow gold (the necklace) STONES : 5 rose cut diamonds. We don't have the weight of the diamonds which is normal in our trade when it comes to rose cuts. WEIGHT : 10,90 gram (7,01 dwt) HALLMARKS: no trace CONDITION : Good condition REMARKS : The diamonds are set in silver. This technique was very often used with jewelry containing diamonds because jewelers of that time believed that only a silver mounting could render the true beauty of a precious stone. ). The necklace is not as old as the pendant. SIZE : The pendant measures 3,70 cm (1,46 inch) by 2,60 cm (1,02 inch). The necklace is 45,00 cm (17,72 inch) long.
