19th century man's pocket watch from France in 18 karat gold. Serial number 31064. Roman numerals mark the hours and there are marks at 12 minute intervals; the hands are blued steel. The movement is ruby jeweled, and the back of the case opens with a bezel for a picture. The interior lid opens to reveal the movement. This watch is key wound with two inserts for keys. One is for setting the time, and one is for winding the movement. (Key is included.) The front of the case opens for access to the crystal and face. The face is enameled, but the enamel is chipped on both sides where the face screws to the case, and there are some very slight dings on the back cover. The engraving is very fine, with a hunting motif; it includes a wild boar, hunting horn, rifle, birds, ribbon and leaves. The back cover of the case has a spun point design, with some wear around the edges. The keys are missing, and the crystal has been replaced. The dimensions are: case is 1 cm deep and 4.4 cm in diameter. The ring and stud for attaching a chain is 1.8 cm high, weight is approx. 60 grams. The interior is in impeccable shape, and I believe it works. Buyer to pay shipping and insurance using FedEx.
