18 Size Hamilton Private Label Tu Tone RR Watch.Super Hamilton Tu tone, Dial signed "J.B. JOHNSON GLENWOOD IA"Johnson was the successor to WF Laraway in Glenwood IA.Laraway was a well know Jeweler/Watch Inspector around 1880's to 1900's in Iowa.He had a very distinctive tu toning pattern, to his watches. I've seen a few different Laraway Watches, most had tu toned movements and marked with his name as well.Dial is the original single sunk dial. I see 1 tiny nick by the center, rest of dial is great.Movement signed like the dial "JB Johnson, Glenwood IA, 17 Jewels, 640214"TU toning is nice and very bright with little tu toning loss usually seen on these tu toned movements, they're usually found overwashed/overcleaned by Jewelers.Case is a very nice heavily engraved engine turned case. Near mint condition! Glass crystal. Lever set.Watch is running, but not timed.Great looking scarce watch.
