For sale is an antique 18th century chinese bronze metal fan with some detailed script engraved or decorated to both sides, from the small amount of research done, I believe that this a metal plaque or fan placed at the doorway of a house to indicate that someone important has died or passed away, it is a rare survivor of an earlier age, I also believe to have a good amount of age and is not a modern reproduction. I have not filed the piece which would damage it in a small way, so i am selling it as bronze coloured metal and do not make any guarantees or assumptions that it is pure bronze. excellent condition without damage, unpolished, uncleaned, as shown approx. 14" h., 12" w., 300mm w., 350mm h., the images make up part of the description, so please study them I use second hand packing, clean boxes & filling where poss. please bid and buy with confidence
