LOT 100Seller's Estimate: USD 12,000 - 15,000A beautiful and diminutive linen press or kast in pine from Holland with bombe base front, offering two cupboard doors three long graduated drawers with carved bonnet and resting on the original feet, Dutch, early 1700's. It has the original finish giving this great Tulip Cupboard the pedigree it deserves. If you happen to look closely at the crown, you will notice five flat plateaus or shelves, these actually do serve a purpose; originally. these cupboards were constructed for prominent Dutch tulip farming families and those shelves showcased their prized flowers. Original locks, key and drawers function as new.
