DescriptionAn 18th century hand carved archway removed from an ancestral home that was demolished in Guangdong province and repurposed into a headboard for a custom Chinese platform bed. The archway part of the architecture of the home and shows immense detail of various scenes with children at play, lotus flowers, birds, scholars and more. The bed has two matching side tables that nest into the sides for the headboard. The upholstered panel is removable. The two sides of the platform have built in drawers that pull out from the side. Constructed entirely of high grade Elm wood using traditional Chinese furniture building techniques. The full width with nightstands measures 99".ConditionExcellent condition showing minor wear from use. There is an old split in the wood on the archway at the top right.Dimensions70 x 81 x 78 in
