19” Automaton, Circa 1890, with Jumeau Head, Attributed to Roullet & Decamps. Clothing is thought to be all original. The movements and the music function strongly. See the end of the description for a link to the video!Description: 19” Automaton, Circa 1890, attributed to Roullet & Decamps, featuring a Jumeau bisque head, open mouth (very slight flake on lower lip), paperweight eyes, cork pate, and caracul skin wig. I believe that the costume is original—please see the photos. The doll moves his head and moves his right arm as music plays. He has composition lower arms and hands and there are little wires in the palm of each hand to hold something...you can have the fun of putting what you want in each hand. The base covering has wear as photographed. The movements and music play strongly.Condition: The Tete Jumeau bisque head has a line at the top of the forehead which appears to be a firing line on the inside of the head or a hairline and a very slight flake on the lower lip. The costume is antique and I believe it is original. The composition lower arms have wear to the finish as photographed. Each hand has a wire to attach an object in each hand.
