Very pretty unusual jug/ewer by Charles Brannam Barum Ware. It has a bulbous body, tall, slim neck rising to a neat spout and double handles, one on top of the other. Moulded decoration of fish, rocks and weeds painted in shades of blue and green, artist signature to the side but I cannot decipher it. Inside and underneath is deep brown glaze with the full Brannam inscribed marks to the base. The date is slightly obscured with a blob of glaze but it says 190?, I think maybe 1901 but of that order anyway.It measures 6 1/4" high and 3 1/2" wide. Condition is excellent with no damage and minimal surface wear.I describe all items as accurately as possible but I do not hold myself to be an expert.
