Vintage Postcard ~ EDGEWATER PARK ~ BathingScene LAKE ERIE ~ Cleveland, Ohio · ORGINIAL VintagePost Card ~ this is NOT a reproduction · Measures: approximately 3-1/2” x 5-1/4” · NOT Used and NOT Postmarked · Circa: 1900’s ~ 1910’s Take a step back in history and view this vintage postcard. This postcard features a view of swimmers and people at EDGEWATER PARK ~ some are on the shore and some are in the water. Edgewater Park is located along LAKE ERIE at West 58 th Street in Cleveland, Ohio . There is a line going from the shore (probably to a buoy) that people or holding on ~ this was used for people to walk out deeper in the water. Condition There are NO Creases, NO Rips and NO Writing. There are corner bumps and there is some edge wear. There are slight indentations and light discoloration in the corners caused by being in a scrapbook for years. See the photos in the auction to see the condition of the postcard. This postcard will be shipped in a protective sleeve with cardboard around it to protect it during shipping. Brief Information about Edgewater Park (from The Encyclopedia of Cleveland History): The land was purchased in 1894 by the Cleveland’s Second Park Board from Jacob B. Perkins, Cleveland industrialist. The land, consisting of 2 parcels, became Perkins Beach and Edgewater Park. Many recreational facilities read more
