Up for auction... Original Antique Oil Painting in STUNNING Ornate Gesso Frame. GLORIES OF THE NIGHT By G. Chilberg (signed) From the 1900's, this hung on my husbands Great Grandmother's Wall in her home for many many years... from her wall to our wall... now on to your wall. This has never been stored. (Always in a smoke free home) Great Grandmother knew the local artist who painted this. G. Chilberg was from Everett, Washington (the state) His brother was J .E . Chilberg , president of the Alaska -Yukon -Pacific Exposition , 1909 First Worlds Fair in Seattle , Washington . is a picture of him... J.E. Chilberg The painting is a very cool looking scene with two homes or cabins.. by a pond or lake.. and the moon is out.. I had a hard time trying to capture the picture as I kept getting a glare (see my first picture) the oil painting is in pretty good shape with no chips or cracking in the canvas. T are some what I call lines that are raised a bit when you look at it from an angel, not eye catching and not offensive at all. Dark colors as it is night time. THE FRAME.... is NICE! and tight and VERY BEAUTIFUL. What more can I say... see my pictures! In very nice shape!
