The work is signed lower right but we cant read the signature. It needs a clean and is unlined and unrestored. We have spot cleaned some areas Title: "Rotterdam" Signature: Signed lower right Medium: Oil on original canvas Size: Measures c. 11 x 16 inches unframed Frame: Unframed Condition: Needs a light clean ABOUT THE ARTIST: Aubrey R. Phillips RWA, PS (1920-)A large and impressive pastel painting by renowned Worcestershire artist Aubrey R. Philips depicting a peaceful river scene. The painting is untitled, but this is very likely to be in the Malverns near to where Phillips settled - probably the River Severn or one of its tributaries. Phillips is a master of the medium, and has written several books on the subject. His work is always in demand. High Quality pine frame.Aubrey R Phillips RWA.
