The China Relief Expedition was a multi-national effort and Great Britain and the United States contributed troops between 1900 and 1901. The British sent troops from their Indian Army. At the end of the expedition, the focus shifted from rescuing non-combatants to suppressing the rebellion. By 1902, at least in the city of Peking, the Boxer Rebellion had been effectively controlled. Registered cover with Base Office B Cancels. Backstamped Bombay and Karachi. Vertical centre fold. Two missing stamps but intact covers very rare.
